This building was originally built by the SDA as their first commercial building on Todd Campus in place of a residential dwelling.
At over 40 years old it was no longer suitable for modern uses. Through an extensive refurbishment, Speyroc have upgraded the building to provide modern flexible space for laboratories on the ground floor with offices above.
This development has managed to deliver both a high degree of flexibility for the occupiers and also an Energy performance certificate with an A rating.
Many of the buildings that compare with this accommodate much of the plant associated with laboratory use within the building. Here it is all accommodated externally thereby maximising efficiency for the occupiers and minimising disruption through maintenance.
"Speyroc has consistently provided reliable and professional advice, excellent project management, and valuable support from design of our new laboratories and office space through to completion. Having previously worked with Speyroc for Phase I of our facility, they were the obvious contractor of choice for Phase II. We were delighted to finish the project ahead of time and within budget."Gillian Hill Director of BioSafety, BioOutsource Ltd.
